The role requires core knowledge of networking, Linux, web development, PHP, C#, and databases such as MySQL. If you have a demonstrable interest and knowledge of Linux, and perhaps an interest in scripting and coding, we would love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Self-motivated individual

As an apprentice, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in developing new software products while also maintaining and supporting our existing cloud-based infrastructure. You will be an integral part of a team that is passionate about delivering innovative solutions to our customers.

To be considered for this position, candidates should have a strong educational background, with excellent GCSE grades and potentially A levels, particularly in Maths and English. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also a must. For the part-time role, previous experience in accounts is preferred.

Almost all of our invoice creation and delivery processes are automated, with only 1% of them being done manually. We use Xero as our accounting software to manage our accounts, and we handle thousands of invoices each month.

The role will include the following, as ability and knowledge is developed:

  • Communicating with customers via email and phone
  • Paying supplier invoices
  • Reconciling the bank
  • Making international payments
  • Assisting the sales team with customer account queries and perhaps generating quotes

At Yellowgrid, we believe in investing in our employees and providing opportunities for growth and advancement. We review salaries every 12 months and expect younger team members to develop their knowledge and skills over time, with salary increases offered annually to reflect this progress.

Joining our team at Yellowgrid means becoming part of a close-knit group of 13 individuals, with half of the team members under the age of 25. We pride ourselves on our motivated and intelligent team, and we are excited to welcome new members who share our passion for innovation and excellence.
