Our Advanced SIP Trunks are credential based and further secured by FQDN.\u00a0 This significantly improves any fail over scenarios as there is not requirement to update a SIP Trunk IP address.\u00a0 Further details can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cost of our Standard SIP Trunks are the same as the cost of our Advanced SIP Trunks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those wishing to migrate from Standard to Advanced, it is a similar process to migrating to a new SIP Trunk provider, albeit without the number porting headache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following guidance should be followed to migrate from our Standard SIP Trunks to our Advanced SIP Trunks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Email your request to porting@yellowgrid.co.uk<\/a>, providing the existing SIP ID and requesting that all numbers be migrated to our Advanced SIP Trunk services.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    2. You will be supplied with new Advanced SIP Trunk details to add into 3CX Voice & Chat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Change all Outbound Rules that use the Standard SIP Trunk to use the NEW Advanced SIP Trunk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Change all Emergency Numbers that use the Standard SIP Trunk to use the NEW Advanced SIP Trunk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Test Outbound Calls<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6. Add all DDIs to the NEW Advanced SIP Trunk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7. Check for any CID rules. \u00a0Export CID rules and import after changing the trunk ID<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    8. Audit and DOCUMENT all inbound routing for all DDIs (SIP trunk routing, Call Handling DDI assignment, Extension DDI assignment)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Then at a scheduled time, ask us to migrate the numbers (This can take up to 10 minutes and must be done between 9am – 5pm) whilst you complete the following tasks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Delete existing SIP Trunk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Recreate all inbound routing by assigning the documented DDIs to Call Handling Groups, Extensions and ensure that the NEW Advanced Trunk routes as the previous Standard SIP Trunk<\/p>\n\n\n\n
