Transferring a Call On The New 3CX Desktop App V18

With the new 3CX Desktop App V18, the users experience is put first.

The new 3CX Desktop App has an intuitive user interface, making transferring calls simple. Incoming calls are displayed as pop up alerts on the right hand side of the screen, without distracting the user. This pop up will allow you to answer or decline the call. Once the call is answered, you will be given a choice of actions such as hold, mute, new call, conference, transfer, attended transfer, record, keypad and video. Blind Transfer

Blind transfer is the quick way of transferring calls. You will not have the opportunity to speak with your contact prior to the transfer

• On the 3CX Desktop App, incoming calls are displayed as pop ups.
• Once you have answered an incoming call, select Transfer to conduct a blind transfer
• Enter and select either the name, extension number or email address of the contact who you wish to transfer the call to
• Your call we be transferred

Attended Transfer

Attended transfer allows you to speak with a colleague before transferring the call. This is particularly useful when you need to inform them of a situation to improve communication

• Once you have answered an incoming call, select Attended Transfer to speak with a colleague before transferring the call
• Enter and select either the name, extension number or email address who you wish to transfer to
• Once you are connected to the contact, you can speak with them to inform them about the incoming call, and check whether or not they are available to take the call
• If your colleague wishes to take the call, select Join
• Your call will be transferred
