How to Properly Disconnect an FQDN from a 3CX Licence Key
When managing your 3CX system, it’s important to know how to correctly disconnect an FQDN from a licence key. This process is often necessary during system migrations or reconfigurations, but doing it incorrectly can cause issues with your 3CX Partner account.
✅ Correct Way to Disconnect
To safely disconnect the FQDN:
1• Log in using the owner email associated with the licence key.
2• Locate the FQDN in the management console.
3• Click “DISCONNECT” next to the FQDN.
This will remove the FQDN from the licence key without affecting your partner account.
⚠️ Important Warning
Do NOT click “UNLINK” — this action will unlink the licence key from your 3CX Partner account, which can disrupt your access and management capabilities.
