A Guide to Factory Resetting Fanvil Phones
Looking to reset your Fanvil phone? Within this blog we will share the easiest methods to reset your Fanvil devices. We understand Fanvil’s portfolio have a wide range of products and there are a few different methods depending on the device. This guide aims to simplify the process.
You may need to reset your device for a number of reasons including software troubleshooting, performance optimisation, memory management, battery optimisation, updates and installations and network related issues. Whatever the reason, we have you covered.
Resetting the Fanvil X-Series, XU-Series & V-Series
Most phones in the Fanvil X series, XU-series and V-series have a simple method for factory reset. The following method works for these devices:
Fanvil X-Series including: X3SG, X3SW, X3SP-V2, X4, X210, X7C, X7
Fanvil XU-Series including: X3U, X4U, X5U, X6U
Fanvil V-Series including: V62, V64, V65, V66
Recommended & fastest reset method (excluding Android devices):
- Hold down ‘OK’ button for approximately 10 seconds.
- Select ‘OK’ to reset.
- Wait for your device to reboot.
Alternative method (This should only be used as a recovery/backup method):
- Turn off your device
- Repetitively tap the ‘#’ key whilst the device is turning on.
- ‘Post Mode’ message will appear on the screen. You must dial *#168.
- Wait 5 seconds until ‘Conf Reset’ is shown.
- Your phone will be successfully reset after restarting the device.
Fanvil V67 :
- Power off the device.
- Power it back on.
- As soon as the screen lights up, tap both the left and right sides of the screen repeatedly.
- This should trigger the Android recovery menu.
- From there, use the touchscreen or volume buttons (if available) to select “Wipe data/factory reset.”
- Confirm the reset and wait for the phone to reboot.
This method is specific to Fanvil’s Android-based models like the V67, and is different from the standard #
key method used on non-Android Fanvil phones
Resetting the Fanvil i-Series Phones

- Power off your device
- Power it on and wait for the blue LED to start flashing.
- Press ‘Call’ key once and you should notice the LED is now yellow.
- Once the LED turns yellow, press the ‘Call’ key 3x times to reboot the device into factory default.
i10 | i10SD | i10SV | i6S | i16SV
- Power off your device
- Power on the device and you will notice the LED flashing.
- When the LED is flashing fast press ‘Call’ key once.
- Once the LED starts flashing slowly, press the ‘Call’ key 3x times to reboot the device into factory default.
i18S | i20S | i23S | i30 | i31S
- Power off your device
- When powering on your device, hold down the ‘*’ and ‘#’ key. Keep these keys held down until the SIP/Network and Function Key LEDs stay on.
- Dial *#168.
- Wait 10-15 seconds.
- Power off the device and then power on the device to reset.
iW30 | PA2 | PA3
- Power off your device
- Power on your device and select ‘Reset’ button on the device for 5 seconds.
- Automatically, the phone will reboot.
