Backup

Tape backups

are the most common form of automated backup. The tapes are usually rotated on a daily basis in order to provide access to historic data and the backup is performed during hours of low intensity usage. A good backup solution;

Offsite backups

Restore operations are more simple than Tape backup procedures. Rather than trawling through previous tapes searching for the correct file version all files can be located from a single management interface.
